System Settings

The System Settings are default back-end system settings that can be overwritten by admins. Any change in system settings will affect the entire system.

List of settings in tiCrypt:

Private Key Timeout User inactivity timeout before password reentry for private key decryption.
Session Timeout User inactivity timeout before session reentry for unlocking the screen.
Suspend Timeout Lock screen reload from scratch timeout for user inactivity.
User HelpdeskChange the helpdesk resources such as websites and phone numbers in the top right global panel.
Password Strength Change the accepted password difficulty for user private keys globally.
Private Key Caching Select if the user private keys get cached in browser-local storage. Local storage will persist through browser restarts and even computer reboots.
MFA Caching Select if the multi-factor tokens get cached in session-local storage. Session storage gets cleared as soon as all tiCrypt tabs are closed
Default File DurationShared file key validity (in days) without an explicit expiration date set by owner.
External File PreviewUser file preview control using built-in browser tools.
Mailbox Settings Change the base URL that is displayed when users create a Mailbox/Inbox and the maximum inbox token duration.
CUI Disclosure Determine where CUI disclosure should be displayed in the system.
Terms of ServiceTerms of Service popup content and display frequency during the application start.

When you finished editing, you must click the button at the top right of edited section to propagate the changes globally.

Audit Logs

The Audit Logs is the interface that shows the lines of the audit log being written; it confirms that the auditing is working.

System Services

The System Services show all active services in the system.

By selecting a system service you can do the following:

  • Click Restart to restart the system service. This is used for reset purposes.
  • Click on the View Logs to view the entire log history for a specified system service.

You can filter system logs by the number of days and surpress error messages for a clean report.

Use the button to refresh the system service logs.

  • Click on the View Config to view the backend configuration of the specified service. This option is used by super-admins for external access proxy service.

System Services allow for a super admin to restart a specific service in the front end or to look at logs of a specific service to better debug.
